Circular saws that have worm drive gearing are popular choices in the West and the Midwest, according to Fine Homebuilder magazine. In the East, sidewinders are the circ saws of choice. With the different gear configurations come different strengths (and weaknesses), so many professionals including carpenters pack one or several of each kind of circular saw, to use for different applications. Bosch CS5 Circular Saw Review

This is a great feature because often we assume once we’ve released the trigger the saw is no longer running and therefore no longer dangerous. It’s really easy to put your hands in the wrong place or to set the saw down while the blade is still moving, and that’s an ugly scenario. An electric brake will drastically reduce the chances of this happening.
If you're new to using a router, start off with a small fixed-base router or trim router, something in the 1-hp to 1-1/2-hp range. As users become more confident and comfortable using a router, move up to a larger fixed-base or plunge router in the 1¾- to 3½-hp range. Look for one with these five features in the best router: soft-start motor, smooth-operating depth-adjustment mechanism, comfortable handles or grip, push-button arbor lock for one-wrench bit changes, and a flexible power cord that's at least eight feet long.
This saw replaced another Bosch that was dropped 4 feet and landed on concrete. The base plate was twisted and the blade was a quarter inch out of alignment. Repair parts were no longer available for it. Bought this one as I am left handed and was excited to get a left handed model instead of a right sided one. Based on other reviews, I was concerned about the base plate flatness and blade alignment to the baseplate edge. When I set my new one up I found that the baseplate was flat and the blade alignment was spot on. I docked the review one star for two reasons, first, the bevel cut needed adjustment which was easy to do and second, I was disappointment that the saw did not come with either a case or a bag.
This product sports a 56 degree bevel cut and a blade diameter of 7-1/4 inches. The depth of cut at 45 degrees is 1-7/8 inches, 1-5/8 inches at 50 degrees and it boasts a level of 2-7/16 inches at 90 degrees. There is a clear view of the cutting site at all times which makes for safer and more accurate applications every time. The devices electrical cord is an optimum length of 9 ft which greatly diminishes the chances of a cord pull out while in use.
Milwaukee got its start in 1924 with their first version of a portable, ¼-inch drill known as the Hole-Shooter. Milwaukee is a brand perhaps best known for their professional quality, heavy duty tools but they’ve also made their mark in the world of tools by innovation of new products such as the Sawzall, revolutionizing the 7 ¼-inch circular saw, and being the first to utilize Lithium-Ion batteries to power their tools.

Bosch Speed Clean drill bits are code approved and meet OSHA standards for adhesive anchoring. Bosch has engineered the bit using a solid piece of steel with a dust channel milled to exacting specifications. It extracts dust while drilling, creating 25 percent greater drilling speed. Speed Clean is an important part of the PRO+GUARD™ dust system that helps users move toward compliance with the OSHA silica regulation. When beginning your search for the best circular saw for you, there is one thing you will notice right away…the distinctions between circular saws aren’t always obvious. You can find one circular saw and think “looks good to me”, and right next to it is another and nothing seems noticeably different. Yet, there is a one hundred dollar price difference.
When one of these drills is jammed – put into a bind-up situation – applying power to the motor will not free the bit. Some of these new cordless tools have power to spare, and sudden high-torque movements rotate the drill … and the operator's wrists and arms. This at the least is tiring. It can be dangerous. Sometime the tool will twist out of the user's hand, swing around and hit the operator or someone close to the tool, causing bodily harm.

Of course, a circular saw is a great solution whenever you are looking to cut materials in half the time that it normally would take. However, that is not enough. You also have to take into consideration its build quality, functionality, and usability. Below are some recommended tips that you help you avoid the most common mistakes when choosing a circular saw:
Bosch was founded in 1886 by Robert Bosch who is known for having said he’d “rather lose money than trust.” Since then Bosch has cultivated a reputation for quality and innovation across a broad spectrum of equipment and services beyond just power tools. They create auto parts and accessories, have automotive service centers, garden tools, appliances, and more.
This circular saw features a 15 amp motor which gives it more than enough power to easily saw through dense materials.  It makes easy work of plywood as thick as ¾ inches and the new improved spindle lock feature allows for quick and easy blade changes for any type of sheet material application. Blade rotation speed of 6,200RPM with no load present and its 7-1/4 inch blade is powered by 120V.
It lacks of some features that can be found in cheaper models. There is no safety switch. It can be accidentally started just by pulling the trigger. It also does not come with an electric brake. Furthermore, rip fence is not included in the basic set.. You need to order this item separately. Some users reported that trying to find a rip face that fits this model had been a challenge. The jobsite radio or worksite portable sound system category is now one where, instead of the old portable CD player, users are able to get durable boomboxes with pumped up sounds connected to their MP3 players or phones for stored music or internet radio. And according to the reviewers in the field, none is tougher or sounds better than the cordless, portable Bosch PB360S Power Box Jobsite Radio and Charger.
