Cheap Bosch CS5

We gave this saw top score for its no nonsense, to the point design. It has all the most important features without the extra fuss and hassle of unnecessary bits and bobs. Its left hand design was enjoyed by both left and right handed users and although it is the fastest circular saw in its class, it still has a very competitive price. Here are a few other features worth mentioning. Bosch CS5 7-1/4-In Circular Saw

The saw worked to perfection, I used it in combination with the Kreg Rip-Cut tool to get great straight cuts on my plywood and longer sections. I used it in concert with a sawhorse and some clamps to get great angled cuts. This tool can essentially replace a table saw and miter saw for "simpler" projects. I would saw that if one had a small budget, that the circular saw should be the first tool that you purchase. It is the tool that gives you the most bang for your buck.

I knew this saw was worth buying after I made my first two cuts with it. It has amazing power, and is very precise. I had to adjust to using a left sided saw on my first cut, but after the second I was positive I had purchased an excellent tool. I used to always try to cut in a position that I would be able to clearly see my line. It doesnt make sense to switch boards around or dance around my sawhorses trying to see. I will never have to waste time moving around or leaning over my saw again. The only thing I absolutely hate about the saw is that it does not have any sort of carrying case. I really think it should have come with something considering it wasn't a cheap saw. I don't like having to worry about where I store it in my work van. If it had a nice plastic case I would never have to think twice about where I put it. If it were a junk saw I wouldn't care if it got a little dinged up because I wouldn't expect it to last anyway. A saw of this caliber absolutely needs a case.
The DeWalt DWE575SB is an very light saw at only 8.8 lbs and powerful reaching up to 5,100 RPM. It will also make bevel cuts up to 57° with stops at 22.5° and 45°. The cutting depth is tops too at 2.55 inches at 90° and 1.9 inches at 45°. But perhaps one of the best features is the electric brake which will quickly bring the blade to a halt when the trigger is released. Bosch CS5 120-Volt 7-1/4-Inch Circular Saw
Cut through plywood and other pieces of lumber easily using the 7 1/4-Inch 15 A Left Blade Circular Saw from Bosch. An adjustable bevel and aluminum lower guard enable angled cuts and prevent snags. With conveniently accessible and replaceable brushes, this lightweight circular saw is easy to maintain. The Bosch CS5 power circular saw is a great all around tool that is capable and delivers on quality. I used this power saw to help construct a gazebo in the back yard and have brought it on multiple job and its been great, particularly as someone who is right handed and has used other inferior circular saws. The seven and a half inch blade is what I wanted, and the power that this circular saw packs is more than enough to saw through every possible type of wood you could select or encounter. In addition, Bosch has made a circular saw that gives you a great line of sight and is built to last! This is my second circular power saw and I’m counting on it being my last. This is a great saw that has exceeded my expectations. Its a solid power saw that can handle whatever you throw at it. Bosch CS5 Circular Saw Review
If you follow cordless tools, you’ll know that they rarely stay on the market more than a year without some sort of update. But some of the circular saws have been out more than 15 years and are still chewing up wood reliably. While not every saw we looked at takes home a top recommendation, each have their place. Scroll to the bottom to see the entire list.
As someone who works in construction and doing some personal woodworking on the side, there's a profound need for a reliable tool with more than mediocre performance. You will find me working on a variety of things, from cutting tube fittings to doing various cuts on maple or any type of hard wood. Doing construction and woodworking has given me countless opportunities to enjoy what I do. Making something out of nothing is already a joy on its own. Bosch CS5 7-1/4-In Circular Saw
This is the Bosch CS5 120-Volt 7-1/4-Inch Circular Saw. This circular saw will let you power through wood—OSB or composite. If you are one who makes frames, roofs, who sheathes or build decks, then this tool is perfect to help you get the job done. The left blade design allows for the clearest line of sight for right-handed users. This tool is built with durability in mind. With Bosch quality, this tool will withstand tough job site environment. Weighing in just 10 lbs. with a 15-amp motor, the CS5 can power through even the densest material. An improved simple lock allows for quick and easy blade changes. A 56 degree bevel makes this tool extremely versatile. And with an anti-snag lower guard, you can make cuts without having to advance it.
The saw blade of the cs5 is positioned on the left side of the power tool. This means that right-handed users will be placed to the left of the tool when holding it in the correct position and therefore you will have direct line of site of where the blade is cutting. Until you’ve tried this the other way round, you won’t appreciate how useful this is! Having a clear view of where the blade is cutting ensures a more accurate cut all round.

I love the left side view of the blade and will only buy this style in the future even if I have to accept a complete saw-dusting of my clothes. I spent a good amount of time cutting specially ordered tough 1" Baltic Birch plywood using a Freud 60T blade and the power is fine for about 1" per second. While overall this saw is good for the home user I think the quality is lacking for the more picky. The problem is that there is considerable flex in the platform (even with the set screw adjusted) and there is about 0.5mm of play in the motor shaft which translates into much more play at blade edge. Even at this price such slop in the motor seems excessive. I am admittedly looking for more precision since I am finding a circular saw with a good self made rip fence to be superior to my table saw. If I could make the purchase again I would perhaps look at the Bosch 1677MD to see if the precision is better.

However, there are plenty of sidewinder circular saws that will stand the test of time even for someone who uses them on a daily basis. There are probably more than a few people who would love to slap me for this, but for the average homeowner I just can’t see owning a worm drive circular saw over a sidewinder. For that reason, no worm drive saws are on this list. Bosch CS5 Saw

If you're new to using a router, start off with a small fixed-base router or trim router, something in the 1-hp to 1-1/2-hp range. As users become more confident and comfortable using a router, move up to a larger fixed-base or plunge router in the 1¾- to 3½-hp range. Look for one with these five features in the best router: soft-start motor, smooth-operating depth-adjustment mechanism, comfortable handles or grip, push-button arbor lock for one-wrench bit changes, and a flexible power cord that's at least eight feet long. Why worm drive over a traditional circular saw? I’ll tell you why. Because it’s finally affordable to have a circular saw that is super tough and has the torque to make those difficult cuts. Because why choose a weaker circular saw when you can have a workhorse worm drive circular saw for a comparable price. The SKILSAW SPT77WML Circular Saw is a no-brainer really.
