The Bosch VAC090A 9-Gallon and VAC140A 14-Gallon Dust Extractors provide the suction power for the PRO+GUARD™ dust solution. As this video shows, the Bosch 9-Gallon dust extractor can start the job and finish job, cleanly. Bosh dust extractors feature Auto Filter Clean, HEPA filters and recommended prefiltering fleece bags. Bosch HEPA Dust Extractors are able to sustain high suction power, even as the job moves on. Cubic feet of air per minute (CFM) rate measures air flow. These extractors have a maximum 150-CFM air flow. They have a 97 In. static water lift (maximum). Check out the video to see the Bosch VAC090A in action.
Finally, a word on using the line guide. For a normal 90° cut, you should use the left side of the notch as shown here in the diagram. For bevel cuts within the range 45° to 56° you should use the right side. Because saw blades vary in type and thickness, I strongly urge you to make a sample cut on a scrap piece of lumber to check the line of cut you’ll actually get. And remember, face the good side of the lumber down to ensure minimum splintering.

Can a saw be sporty? That's how this feels to me when I'm using it. It's pretty basic as far as features and it's also very well thought out. I do wish it had the same baseplate and positive detents on depth and angle adjustments as the CS10 but those are not in any way a hinderance to the saw. Everything seems to be in just the right place with the controls and handles. A left blade saw for right hand user is a really nice feature for the way I cut. In fact, I sometimes hold right blade saws left handed when using them for cuts. I don't have any problems with the dust chute blowing dust onto me because I happen to stand behind where it blows on shorter cutting situations and I stand directly to the side of the saw in longer ripping and crosscutting situations such as making cuts on sheet goods and then the dust blows more behind me. Either way, it blows the dust more downward than most saws I've used.
Another thing to consider is the functionality of the saw. Is the safety mechanism of the saw appropriate? Is the operating mechanism easy to access? When you cut wood, the shavings and dust will go spewing everywhere. Does the saw offer a dust chute to prevent those shavings and dust from going to your face? These are just some of the questions you need to ask before picking the right circular saw for you. Bosch CS5 Review
This is a great feature because often we assume once we’ve released the trigger the saw is no longer running and therefore no longer dangerous. It’s really easy to put your hands in the wrong place or to set the saw down while the blade is still moving, and that’s an ugly scenario. An electric brake will drastically reduce the chances of this happening.
This saw replaced another Bosch that was dropped 4 feet and landed on concrete. The base plate was twisted and the blade was a quarter inch out of alignment. Repair parts were no longer available for it. Bought this one as I am left handed and was excited to get a left handed model instead of a right sided one. Based on other reviews, I was concerned about the base plate flatness and blade alignment to the baseplate edge. When I set my new one up I found that the baseplate was flat and the blade alignment was spot on. I docked the review one star for two reasons, first, the bevel cut needed adjustment which was easy to do and second, I was disappointment that the saw did not come with either a case or a bag. Considering the best circular saw is a little easier than breaking down the incredible number of cordless saws out there, but most brands still have most than one model on the market. We chose only saws that have a 15-amp motor for consideration and went with the newest models from there. We looked at blade speed, watts out or horsepower (where available), bevel capacity and stops, blade orientation, other features, construction, and price.
Hilti is literally a rebranded makita….they have the exact same parts. Just look at the bevel quick set control. If you see them side by side you’ll know. Also, I have found some of the Makita’s to have guards that are tough to start when cutting. Can get annoying when they constantly resist opening. The dewalts often come from the factory with the tables crooked. Hold a framing square along the blade and check if it lines up with the front guide detente. The table is often out 3/16th. Dewalt knows about the problem but doesn’t care.

When one of these drills is jammed – put into a bind-up situation – applying power to the motor will not free the bit. Some of these new cordless tools have power to spare, and sudden high-torque movements rotate the drill … and the operator's wrists and arms. This at the least is tiring. It can be dangerous. Sometime the tool will twist out of the user's hand, swing around and hit the operator or someone close to the tool, causing bodily harm.
Among the numerous advantages of the circular saw is its efficiency which is prominent. Bosch cordless circular saw occupies the advantage over the reciprocating saw, and that is it shortens the cutting time of the reciprocating saw in half. Whenever the blade of the circular Bosch saw is turning, it is ready to cut. It doesn’t require a return stroke.
You’ll find a circular saw in nearly every Pros arsenal. Corded models offer nearly infinite power as long as electricity is hooked up or there’s a generator nearby. And with most models offering a 15-amp motor, you get reliably solid power. Even the DIY models can make an effective cut with decent speed using an excellent blade. Around the country, these benefits make Pros keep choosing the cord over cordless convenience. Plus, corded tools don’t force you to stick with one brand’s battery platform – you can get the best tool in each class no matter who makes it.

It lacks of some features that can be found in cheaper models. There is no safety switch. It can be accidentally started just by pulling the trigger. It also does not come with an electric brake. Furthermore, rip fence is not included in the basic set.. You need to order this item separately. Some users reported that trying to find a rip face that fits this model had been a challenge.
Cordless tools are all the rage and there’s no doubting their incredible convenience. Cordless circular saws like Makita’s 18V X2 Rear-Handle Saw pack a lot more power than those first models did. But not everyone’s on board with the cordless craze when it comes to circular saws. In fact, you’ll probably see more corded models than cordless in many areas. Why? Reliable power and nearly infinite runtime. Choosing the best circular saw isn’t always easy, and there’s more to consider than just specs. So we got together with our Pros to do the shopping for you with our Pro Tool Reviews Best Circular Saw Buying Guide.

I love the left side view of the blade and will only buy this style in the future even if I have to accept a complete saw-dusting of my clothes. I spent a good amount of time cutting specially ordered tough 1" Baltic Birch plywood using a Freud 60T blade and the power is fine for about 1" per second. While overall this saw is good for the home user I think the quality is lacking for the more picky. The problem is that there is considerable flex in the platform (even with the set screw adjusted) and there is about 0.5mm of play in the motor shaft which translates into much more play at blade edge. Even at this price such slop in the motor seems excessive. I am admittedly looking for more precision since I am finding a circular saw with a good self made rip fence to be superior to my table saw. If I could make the purchase again I would perhaps look at the Bosch 1677MD to see if the precision is better.

When beginning your search for the best circular saw for you, there is one thing you will notice right away…the distinctions between circular saws aren’t always obvious. You can find one circular saw and think “looks good to me”, and right next to it is another and nothing seems noticeably different. Yet, there is a one hundred dollar price difference. Bosch CS5 7-1/4-In Circular Saw
“Great power, won’t bog down even if you’re slightly off a straight line. This saw will rival your giant framing saw and save your arm due to it’s lower weight. Too early to tell how all the adjustments perform and how the table holds up to pro use, but early signs look great! I bought this saw for precision work since the blade is on the left (I’m right handed), but it instantly became my daily use saw; my framing saw is resting!” Bosch CS5 120-Volt 7-1/4-Inch Circular Saw

The jobsite radio or worksite portable sound system category is now one where, instead of the old portable CD player, users are able to get durable boomboxes with pumped up sounds connected to their MP3 players or phones for stored music or internet radio. And according to the reviewers in the field, none is tougher or sounds better than the cordless, portable Bosch PB360S Power Box Jobsite Radio and Charger.
