Bosch was founded in 1886 by Robert Bosch who is known for having said he’d “rather lose money than trust.” Since then Bosch has cultivated a reputation for quality and innovation across a broad spectrum of equipment and services beyond just power tools. They create auto parts and accessories, have automotive service centers, garden tools, appliances, and more. Bosch CS5 Dust Collection
You’ll find a circular saw in nearly every Pros arsenal. Corded models offer nearly infinite power as long as electricity is hooked up or there’s a generator nearby. And with most models offering a 15-amp motor, you get reliably solid power. Even the DIY models can make an effective cut with decent speed using an excellent blade. Around the country, these benefits make Pros keep choosing the cord over cordless convenience. Plus, corded tools don’t force you to stick with one brand’s battery platform – you can get the best tool in each class no matter who makes it. CS5 Bosch
When beginning your search for the best circular saw for you, there is one thing you will notice right away…the distinctions between circular saws aren’t always obvious. You can find one circular saw and think “looks good to me”, and right next to it is another and nothing seems noticeably different. Yet, there is a one hundred dollar price difference. All you have to do is unpack this saw to know you no longer have another one of those throw aways. I use it for making long cuts (mostly 8 ft) in 3/4 inch hardwood plycor plywood. This saw simply does not bog down even when pushing it hard. It does not overheat and it does not make that high pitched whine that most saws make. It looks like quality, feels like quality, and performs like a true champion. And for the first time, I can actually see where the blade is without craning my neck over the saw. It is a keeper
The Bosch CS10 produces fast cuts with a comfortable-to-use circular saw, cutting through wood and decking with accuracy and speed. It features a powerful 15-amp, high output motor. This particular Bosch saw works perfectly, its easy to change the blades, the plunge depth and the angle of the cuts. I had not issues with any play in any of the settings on the saw (I've had this issue with some other saws which I've used). The saw cuts straight and true and being left-sighted makes it alot easier to see your markings and to make great straight long cuts.
The Milwaukee 6394 goes toe-to-toe with Makita – even in price. It falters slightly with lower (but still adequate) cutting depth and doesn’t have a cutline blower. The pivoting handle is compelling, but our team doesn’t think it’s a huge difference-maker in the long run. At the end of the day, it’s a quality choice, especially if you find it on sale.
The Bosch CS5 left bade design saw is the fastest cutting saw in it's class. Bosch quality for all jobsite environments and the best product at the right price point. Featuring a powerful 15 Amp, high output motor, Bosch's CS5 7-1/4 In. circular saw offers fast, smooth cutting at a variety of different angles. Weighing in at just 10 Lbs., the Bosch CS5 is easy to handle and comfortable to use. An unobstructed view of the cut line means better visibility for more exact cuts. Bosch CS5 7-1/4-In Circular Saw
Another thing to consider is the functionality of the saw. Is the safety mechanism of the saw appropriate? Is the operating mechanism easy to access? When you cut wood, the shavings and dust will go spewing everywhere. Does the saw offer a dust chute to prevent those shavings and dust from going to your face? These are just some of the questions you need to ask before picking the right circular saw for you. Bosch CS5 Rip Fence
This is the price (excluding shipping and handling fees) a seller has provided at which the same item, or one that is nearly identical to it, is being offered for sale or has been offered for sale in the recent past. The price may be the seller's own price elsewhere or another seller's price. The "off" amount and percentage simply signifies the calculated difference between the seller-provided price for the item elsewhere and the seller's price on eBay. If you have any questions related to the pricing and/or discount offered in a particular listing, please contact the seller for that listing. Bosch CS5 Dust Collection
Depth of cut locking mechanism broke 8 cuts in. Would not hold shoe in place. Really disappointing. Also two of the eight cuts snagged towards the end. One more thing about the locking mechanism; When I tried to tighten the plastic handle and screw, the screw striped a bit. Very poorly made. Was hoping for a better run from the German Company. Frustrating.
