Of course, a circular saw is a great solution whenever you are looking to cut materials in half the time that it normally would take. However, that is not enough. You also have to take into consideration its build quality, functionality, and usability. Below are some recommended tips that you help you avoid the most common mistakes when choosing a circular saw:
Currently we offer FREE FedEx/UPS small package Ground shipping and FREE ABF/YRC freight ground shipping on most orders of $49 or more within the 48 contiguous states. All you have to do is unpack this saw to know you no longer have another one of those throw aways.  I use it for making long cuts (mostly 8 ft) in 3/4 inch hardwood plycor plywood.  This saw simply does not bog down even when pushing it hard.  It does not overheat and it does not make that high pitched whine that most saws make.  It looks like quality, feels like quality, and performs like a true champion.  And for the first time, I can actually see where the blade is without craning my neck over the saw.  It is a keeper Bosch CS5 Saw
As mentioned earlier, one of the things that Bosch boasts about their CS5 is the left blade design. This robust, and simply powerful machine makes it more convenient and easier usually for right-handed users. This feature allows the cutter to have a direct line of sight whenever cutting, which means it is less prone to accidents, and its precision is unmatched.

I bought the CS5 Circular Saw in May of 2015, and after two months of sporadic use the carbon brushes and armature needed to be replaced. It was repaired -- under warranty -- at the Bosch service facility in Anaheim, California. After another two months of normal / typical use, the carbon brushes and armature need to be replaced again. WTF? Is there an issue with the quality of the components Bosch uses for this particular saw? For five months of ownership and use, I expected something a bit more reliable. Not many choices for blade-left circular saws that are affordable, so I'll get this CS5 fixed again while it's under warranty.
The second disadvantage is where your body will be positioned if there is a kickback. With a right blade saw generally your body will be off to the side of the saw, reducing the chance a kickback will hit you. With a left blade saw, you move the blade closer and so your body is more in line with the saw if it kicks back. Also, on a left blade saw, your left arm will have to cross over the top of the saw blade if you are cutting with your right hand on the trigger.
The Bosch CS5 120-Volt 7-1/4-Inch Circular Saw is an excellent investment considering all the features that it offers the users, as well as its build quality. As a circular saw, it gives you all the power you need and more. As a bonus the manufacturer--Bosch--is well-known for its excellent after sales support. Never do you have to worry about not getting help in the even that you encounter an issue with your Bosch CS5.
However, a bit more research shows there is a universal rip fence out there, and it costs the same as the ill-fitting Skill! It comes with 4 guides to accommodate almost all circular saws, is reversible and has detailed measuring scales accommodating lumber up to 10 inches from the edge. It will also fit any jig saw and has a circle compass so you can cut circles in wood. So if you’ve already got a jig saw, this may be handy one day. Bosch Model CS5
"The U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration today announced a proposed rule aimed at curbing lung cancer, silicosis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and kidney disease in America's workers. The proposal seeks to lower worker exposure to crystalline silica, which kills hundreds of workers and sickens thousands more each year. Bosch CS5 Price
The Bosch CS5 has an anti-snag lower guard which allows you to continue cutting without having to retract the guard, which is a pretty nice feature for seamless transitions or tricky cuts. The most notable feature is that it is a left-blade saw which some people prefer over a right-blade saw whether they are right-handed or left-handed. A left-blade saw with a right-handed person allows the operator to better see their cut-line. However, since the CS5 lacks a dust blower, it might end up as a wash. Bosch CS5 Case

Why worm drive over a traditional circular saw? I’ll tell you why. Because it’s finally affordable to have a circular saw that is super tough and has the torque to make those difficult cuts. Because why choose a weaker circular saw when you can have a workhorse worm drive circular saw for a comparable price. The SKILSAW SPT77WML Circular Saw is a no-brainer really.

The soft handle provides a comfortable grip. Bosch CS5 7-1/4-In Circular Saw

This is a reconditioned power tool. Reconditioned generally means that the tool has been returned to the manufacturer, who brings the tool back to like new conditions. Some tools may contain cosmetic blemishes. This lightweight Bosch 7-1/4-Inch circular saw delivers 15 amps of power and a left blade design for the clearest line of sight while cutting. Anti-snag lower guard lets you make cuts without having to advance the guard, even while making bevel cuts.
Considering the best circular saw is a little easier than breaking down the incredible number of cordless saws out there, but most brands still have most than one model on the market. We chose only saws that have a 15-amp motor for consideration and went with the newest models from there. We looked at blade speed, watts out or horsepower (where available), bevel capacity and stops, blade orientation, other features, construction, and price. Bosch CS5 Review
