I knew this saw was worth buying after I made my first two cuts with it. It has amazing power, and is very precise. I had to adjust to using a left sided saw on my first cut, but after the second I was positive I had purchased an excellent tool. I used to always try to cut in a position that I would be able to clearly see my line. It doesnt make sense to switch boards around or dance around my sawhorses trying to see. I will never have to waste time moving around or leaning over my saw again. The only thing I absolutely hate about the saw is that it does not have any sort of carrying case. I really think it should have come with something considering it wasn't a cheap saw. I don't like having to worry about where I store it in my work van. If it had a nice plastic case I would never have to think twice about where I put it. If it were a junk saw I wouldn't care if it got a little dinged up because I wouldn't expect it to last anyway. A saw of this caliber absolutely needs a case. Bosch CS5 Manual

The Bosch CS5 is a reliable tool for both DIYers and professionals looking for a solidly built circular saw. It stands out in a competitive arena with its high-end design, quality and power. However, this 7 1/4-inch circular saw has a couple shortcomings that keep it from being the best in our review, including a lack of positive bevel stops and an awkward, though effective, dust chute.
The unit comes in the standard Bosch blue in color and weighs a total of 13.3 pounds.  Dimensionally it stands at, 17.3 x 11.4 x 11.4 inches making it ergonomic and lightweight. The upper guard is made from sturdy aluminum and the foot plate is manufactured from magnesium. Both of these materials make the unit durable yet lightweight. This saw is designed for clients who are looking for an affordable product which focuses on general, straight forward core user needs
Lots of experienced woodworkers name the router as one of most versatile power tools. Workers using a router can shape decorative edges, form raised panels, cut grooves and slots, carve signs, make moldings, rout intricate inlays, trim plastic laminate and veneers, and mill dozens of woodworking joints, including rabbets, dovetails and mortises. And while the best router is handheld for most operations, it can also be mounted in a router table, creating a small stationary shaper. Bosch CS5 Dust Collection
Powered by a 15 amp motor running off 120 volts, the Bosch CS5 7-1/4″ circular saw is expected to produce enough cutting power for various applications. Although it might not be the most powerful circular saw available, at this power level it is capable of cutting through 3/4″ of plywood and other dense materials. The motor can deliver no-load speed up to 6200 RPM. It is one of the fastest cutting saws in its class.
When one of these drills is jammed – put into a bind-up situation – applying power to the motor will not free the bit. Some of these new cordless tools have power to spare, and sudden high-torque movements rotate the drill … and the operator's wrists and arms. This at the least is tiring. It can be dangerous. Sometime the tool will twist out of the user's hand, swing around and hit the operator or someone close to the tool, causing bodily harm.

Considering the best circular saw is a little easier than breaking down the incredible number of cordless saws out there, but most brands still have most than one model on the market. We chose only saws that have a 15-amp motor for consideration and went with the newest models from there. We looked at blade speed, watts out or horsepower (where available), bevel capacity and stops, blade orientation, other features, construction, and price. Bosch Model CS5
You’ll find a circular saw in nearly every Pros arsenal. Corded models offer nearly infinite power as long as electricity is hooked up or there’s a generator nearby. And with most models offering a 15-amp motor, you get reliably solid power. Even the DIY models can make an effective cut with decent speed using an excellent blade. Around the country, these benefits make Pros keep choosing the cord over cordless convenience. Plus, corded tools don’t force you to stick with one brand’s battery platform – you can get the best tool in each class no matter who makes it.

Bosch CS5 120-Volt 7-1/4-Inch Circular Saw

The CS5 circular saw runs from a 120 volts supply and it is corded. While the lower guard has an anti-snug feature to prevent accidents, it weighs approximately 10 lbs, with a diameter of the 7.5-inch blade. Despite the fact that this is cheaper than other brands and models of the same type, it offers enormous power and durability. It is by far, one of the most preferred brands by most individuals, especially those who haven’t tried other circular saws yet.
Two of the most notable features really play very well with one another. Those are the two LED work lights and the integrated dust blower. Both will allow you to clearly see your cut-line and ensure you are getting the most accurate cut you can. The scales on the shoe and the bevels are easy to read and all adjustments can be made with a single hand.
One real complaint; when you're cutting right-handed, the dust is directed right into your shoes and nailbags. The blade-left saw doesn't have a Bosch dust chute accessory available, and this saw really needs one. When you're cutting a post from right to left, the dust is projected straight up, into your face and eyes. Bosch needs a dust chute for the CS-5. I tried the dust chute for cs-10 and cs20, but it doesn't really attach to the CS-5 without major modification. It's a short-coming.

You also have to take into consideration its build quality, functionality, and usability. Below are some recommended tips that you help you avoid the most common mistakes when choosing a circular saw:

Why worm drive over a traditional circular saw? I’ll tell you why. Because it’s finally affordable to have a circular saw that is super tough and has the torque to make those difficult cuts. Because why choose a weaker circular saw when you can have a workhorse worm drive circular saw for a comparable price. The SKILSAW SPT77WML Circular Saw is a no-brainer really.
